The Notebook is a romance film directed by Nick Cassavetes. The film stars Ryan Glosing and Rachel McAdams as a young couple who fall in love. Ryan Glosing as Noah and Rachel McAdams as Allie.
The film opens with an elderly man reads from a notebook to an elderly woman about a story between two youngs lovers, The story begins from the summer of 1940 in Seabrook, South California. Allie is a high school girl from a wealthy family spending the summer in Seabrook. At a carnaval, Allie meets Noah. Noah is a local boy who worked at sawmills. During the summer, love gross between them and they spend every moment together. One day , Allie want meets Noah with her big family . Allie's family welcomed with Noah before them know background Noah's family.
Allie's family knows that when Noah came from poor families. Allie's parents forbid Allie for meets with Noah. Allie's father think that Noah is not good for Allie. Social defferences that happend among their families, making them increasingly strengthen their love to prove to Allie's parents.
One evening, Noah invites Allie to an old empty house and he promised to buy and rebuild her. Noah and Allie suprised when them heard that Allie's father reported Noah to police. They know the news from Noah's friends. The last, Allie and Noah ended their love. After their love ended, Noah feel destroyed . He wrote a letter every day for a year and last one he's wrote letters to 365 days. And Noah never received a replace from Allie because Allie's mother hid all the letters. And Noah went to register himself as a soldier.
Noah still in love with Allie, he's bought an old house who he promised to Allie. Although he doesn't believe that Allie will comeback . And Allie planned to marry with Leo . Leo is the high officers of the army. One day in her engagement, Allie reads a newspaper and see news about Noah's house . Allie to go meets Noah. They meets and reminisce about their memories. The next day , Noah invites Allie to go around the lake . Allie was angry why Noah never wrote to her . Noah says he always wrote a letter every day for one year. Allie realized that her mother kept all the letters.
The last , Allie leave Leo and come back with Noah . The scene back to the elderly who apperead at the beginning of the film. Noah faithfully read their life story to Allie every day are exposed to disease dementia. The film ends with a romantic scene, where Allie finally remember everything. And their dead with hug their love .
